What platforms will Nederfall be available on?

Nederfall will be released on PC (Windows) and Steam Deck. At this time, we have no plans or announcements for other platforms. We're focusing on delivering the best experience on PC and Steam Deck first.

What engine is Nederfall being developed in?

Nederfall is being developed using Unity, a powerful game engine that allows us to create the rich, detailed world and complex systems that make Nederfall unique.

How does the camp management system work?

As the leader of your survivor camp, you'll assign survivors to different tasks like training skills, gathering resources, and working on constructions. You can build and upgrade facilities to enhance your camp's efficiency and security. The camp serves as your base of operations where you prepare for missions and manage your community.

Can I control individual survivors?

Yes! While survivor behavior is AI-driven, you can intervene and take direct control when needed. You can select survivors and give them specific orders that override their standard behavior, allowing you to make key decisions that can turn the tide in critical situations.

How does the faction system work?

Nederfall features a reputation-driven faction system where your actions and choices determine your relationships with different groups. You can form alliances or rivalries that significantly impact the game world, unlocking unique missions, resources, and even different endings based on your diplomatic choices.

What makes Nederfall unique compared to other survival games?

Nederfall combines several unique features: a progressive camp relocation system that lets you move your base across the Netherlands, AI-driven survivor behavior with player override, a deep faction diplomacy system, and a uniquely Dutch post-apocalyptic setting that weaves the country's culture, landmarks, and history into the gameplay.

How does combat work in Nederfall?

Combat occurs when your soldiers encounter hostile survivors or other threats during missions. You equip your soldiers with gear and weapons before sending them out, and they'll use these during encounters. Success in combat ensures your soldiers return safely with valuable loot, while failure could result in injury and loss of items.

Can I wishlist Nederfall on Steam?

Yes! You can wishlist Nederfall on Steam to be notified when the game becomes available. Click the Steam wishlist button on our website or search for "Nederfall" on Steam to add it to your wishlist.

Will there be multiplayer or co-op features?

Nederfall is currently being developed as a single-player experience. We're focusing on delivering a rich, immersive solo campaign first. We don't have any announcements regarding multiplayer features at this time.

How does the skill progression system work?

By completing missions and using different skills, your survivors will earn experience in those specific skills. As they level up, they unlock new content and ways to navigate through missions. This creates a multi-layered progression system that involves not only upgrading the camp and characters but also unlocking new technologies, vehicles, and hidden narrative elements.

What is the setting of Nederfall?

Nederfall is set in 2040 in the Netherlands, after the government has fallen and society has collapsed. Rising sea levels, economic instability, and social unrest led to the country's collapse. Gangs and crime have thrived, making the country a dangerous place. Most of society has left, but those who remain struggle to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic environment.
